Meet Serena Stewart. She's a nanny, a bartender and a motorcycle enthusiast. She rides her '06 Harley Davidson Road King a lot. Like around 25,000 miles a year! Starting on July 30th of this year, Serena is riding from Orange County, California to Sturgis, South Dakota for one of the country’s largest and oldest motorcycle rallies. Starting in Lake Forest, California she will travel north on the Pacific coast to Seattle, Washington. From there she'll head to Sturgis and on the way back go through Nebraska and Colorado––a long trip of around 5,500 miles total. Did we mention that she will do two to three Iron Butts during her ride? What is an Iron Butt, you ask? An Iron Butt is a motorcycle ride of 1,000 miles in 24 hours. No easy task! Most people don't even want to be in a car for that long, let alone ride a motorcycle! Hence the name of her fundraiser for BCS: Butts for Boobs. You can donate money to Breast Cancer Survivors for every Iron Butt that Serena does. Or you can just make a one-time donation. The point is that you donate! Breast cancer touches all of our lives. Serena had a grandmother who was a 20-year survivor and has an aunt who is a 10-year survivor. We all know someone who has had breast cancer or someone who will get breast cancer. Let's support all those women by cheering on Serena in her cross-country trip and supporting BCS’ programs in the process. You can even track her progress and learn more about her trip by visiting this page regularly and by checking our her blog! All money raised will go to BCS. |
